Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jaoi Lin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zak Maxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lin comes to the ring accompanied by Clubed to Death. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lin throws a right hand that Maxwell ducks under and follows up with a left that Maxwell also avoids with ease.
Lin throws out a loose jab but Maxwell uses good head movement to avoid it.
Maxwell avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lin tries to close the distance and clinch but Maxwell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lin misses with a two punch combination.
Maxwell moves out of range as Lin strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Maxwell lands with a nice combination. Lin backs away looking to recover.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Maxwell dives in and grabs Lin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lin pushes down on Maxwell's head and hops out.
Lin avoids the body shot from Maxwell.
Maxwell throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lin was covering up waiting for the punch and Maxwell finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Lin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Maxwell has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lin's face.

Maxwell postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lin looks a forlorn figure.

Well Maxwell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
