The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acton circles away from the clinch attempt.
Da Souza throws a right hand that Acton ducks under and follows up with a left that Acton also avoids with ease.
Acton closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Acton looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Da Souza wants to get back to his feet but Acton drags him back down.
Acton is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Da Souza has escaped the position, nice work there.
Acton wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Da Souza, who protects the arm well.
Acton tries for a kimura but Da Souza is defending well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Da Souza striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Acton wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Da Souza, who protects the arm well.

Da Souza is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Acton is controlling him well.

Da Souza misses with a strike from the bottom.
Acton is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Da Souza knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Da Souza is pushing Acton's head away, looking to escape. Acton manages to hold on to the position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Acton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Da Souza is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Da Souza is looking for a sweep.
Da Souza wants to get back to his feet.
Acton is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Da Souza looks calm but he's in trouble here. Acton gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Da Souza is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Acton lets go of the hold and Da Souza can pop his arm back in it's socket.
