Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Sosa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Athos Dorian! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dorian fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sosa avoids it really well and circles away. Sosa misses with a double jab.
Sosa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dorian moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Dorian has a takedown stuffed. Sosa will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Dorian moves away from the strike by Sosa. Sosa lunges at Dorian with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Dorian's hand. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dorian. Carlos Sosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Athos Dorian. Sosa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sosa throws a big shot that misses. Sosa fails to land with a series of punches.

Dorian fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dorian fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sosa sprawls well initially but Dorian persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Dorian is working for a kimura but Sosa is defending it quite comfortably.
Dorian is pressing down on Sosa's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sosa is holding on for now. Sosa on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sosa tries to get out of the position. Sosa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dorian is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dorian is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sosa is just riding it out for now. Dorian eventually gives up the hold. Dorian is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Dorian looks gassed! Sosa is trying to maintain the position but Dorian is very close to passing his half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dorian is pressing down on Sosa's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sosa is holding on for now. Sosa trying to control but Dorian postures up.
Sosa is trying to stand back up but Dorian is controlling him
Dorian is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Sosa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dorian on the ground. Dorian is thwarting Sosa's attempts to control the position. Sosa is trying to stand back up but Dorian is controlling him
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Sosa lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Athos Dorian has been cut. Dorian is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sosa sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sosa misses with a looping right. Sosa uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dorian. Sosa misses with a wild combination.
Sosa misses with a series of wild punches.
Sosa scores with a nice strike. Sosa drops Dorian with a left and a right! Oh, Dorian is hurt - Sosa dives into side control looking to finish!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sosa lands a decent elbow from side control. Dorian is working to avoid the ground and pound but Sosa connects with a decent elbow.
Dorian is rocked! Sosa scores with punches from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carlos Sosa dominated that round. The cut man is working on Athos Dorian's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Sosa lands with a right that hurts Dorian. Dorian looks to clinch but Sosa throws a short knee that drops Dorian. This one is all over!
