Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olivier Bouleau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ralph Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Olivier Bouleau!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bouleau moves in looking to clinch but Gracie pushes him off.
Bouleau looks for a takedown but Gracie sprawls well.
Gracie misses with the combination.
Bouleau throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Gracie holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Gracie drags the fight down to the ground.

Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Gracie is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gracie is trying to hold Bouleau in close to prevent damage but Bouleau has managed to pass into half guard.
Gracie is looking to improve his position.
Gracie is working hard here to advance position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bouleau wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working.
Bouleau really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gracie is pressing down on Bouleau's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Gracie looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bouleau puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Gracie tries to get to full guard but Bouleau has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gracie wants to control but Bouleau is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bouleau prevents Gracie from improving his position.
Gracie trying to hold on to Bouleau's head to control him but Bouleau postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Gracie fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bouleau sprawls well initially but Gracie persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Gracie seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Bouleau has recovered full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Gracie trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Bouleau is keeping the position.
Gracie postures up in Bouleau's guard and throws a big left but Bouleau blocks it.
Gracie slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Gracie throwing strikes but Bouleau manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Gracie tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bouleau wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bouleau trying to control the action but Gracie is working from the bottom.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gracie sneaks back into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ralph Gracie dominated that round.
That's time! Gracie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Bouleau has his takedown stuffed

and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bouleau won't be happy with that.
Bouleau tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Bouleau rolls, trying to escape but Gracie keeps control of the position.

Gracie has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Bouleau! Can he survive? No! He's out! Gracie gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ralph Gracie!
