The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rhodes throws a series of punches but Rudd moves out of range.
Rhodes throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rudd.

No joy there for Rhodes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rhodes tries to bum rush Rudd with a series of wild strikes but Rudd uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Rhodes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rudd circles away quickly and effectively.

Rhodes fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Rhodes connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Rudd tumbling to the canvas! Rhodes pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Rudd was done - good stoppage!
