PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jussi Virtanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esko Salo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jussi Virtanen had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salo throws a body punch but Virtanen moves out of range.
Salo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Salo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Virtanen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Salo as he jumps to the side.
Virtanen is breathing heavily.
Virtanen tries to clinch up but Salo circles away and keeps his distance.
Virtanen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Salo feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Virtanen sprawling to the canvas! Virtanen rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Salo finish him?!

Virtanen is rocked!
Salo shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Virtanen takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Salo sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Virtanen bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
