Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Spider Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Bross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bross has chosen Arthur Brown - Fire as his entrance music. Takeshi Bross told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch up but Bross circles away and keeps his distance.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bross as he avoids it easily.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Silva checks a leg kick.

Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bross sprawls well initially but Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bross wants to get back to full guard.

A close round but Takeshi Bross will probably get the nod.

Silva shoots for a takedown but Bross saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Silva is trying to get back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bross to the mat! Bross manages to get full guard.

Bross escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close second round but I would say that Spider Silva will probably get the nod.

Silva seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bross for as long as he can get away with.
