Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tazwar Masood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Thornton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masood comes to the cage accompanied by The Pakistan National Anthem. The crowd seem to be enjoying Thornton's choice of entrance music: Orgasmatron. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tazwar Masood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Greg Thornton!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thornton closes the distance and clinches up with Masood, looking for a takedown. Thornton pushes Masood against the cage but Masood circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Thornton throws a hook but Masood blocks it.
Masood throws a shot from downtown. Thornton moves away and avoids it.
Masood uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Masood throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Thornton.

Masood tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A combination from Thornton does no damage.
Masood tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Thornton paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Masood leaves Thornton with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Thornton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Masood is fending him off so far but Thornton persists. Nope, Masood circles away and we're back to standing.
Tazwar Masood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Thornton.
Thornton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Masood.
Masood lands with an overhand left.
Masood lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
BOOM! Masood lands a beautiful left hook that drops Thornton. Thornton tries to recover but Masood is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Thornton lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tazwar Masood!
