The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Summers tries to bum rush Blood with a series of wild strikes but Blood uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Excellent takedown into side control there by Blood. Blood trying to control the position but Summers is working away. Blood scores with punches from side control. Blood working the ground and pound but Summers is defending the strikes. Blood looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Blood working the ground and pound. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Summers wants to sweep but no luck. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Blood's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Blood takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
