The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
QQ will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
QQ throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cortez.
QQ lets loose with a powerful body kick. Cortez will feel that in the morning.

QQ had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Cortez is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. QQ Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Cortez's back instead.

Cortez got a little sloppy there for a moment and QQ has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cortez has managed to get both his arms back between QQ's legs - danger averted.
QQ is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cortez defends well.

QQ lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
