Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Julius Peppers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peppers's entrance music is Day N Nite-Kid Cudi. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peppers throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
James throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Peppers.
Peppers throws a head kick that misses.
Peppers misses with a wild body shot.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Peppers.

Peppers gets in close and instigates a clinch.
James misses with a short punch on the inside.

Peppers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Peppers attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
James wants to clinch up but Peppers keeps it at a distance.
Peppers circles away from the clinch attempt
and Peppers counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Peppers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but James moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
James displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
James scores with a one two! Peppers had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
James throws a left and a right that both miss
and James takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
James with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Peppers to score with a decent uppercut.
James connects with a crisp jab.
Peppers takes a shot right to the bread basket.
James catches Peppers with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Some bone on bone action there as James checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
James wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Peppers throws a head kick that misses.
Peppers misses with a double jab
and James counters with a nice uppercut.

Peppers doesn't manage to clinch there - James circles away.
Peppers tries a head kick but it misses.
James misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

A nice leg kick lands there from Peppers.
James moves in looking to clinch but Peppers pushes him off.
James wants to land a leg kick but Peppers is out of range.
James takes one to the chin there.
Peppers throws a shot to the body.
James misses with a wild combination.
Some wild striking there from Peppers.
James scores with a one two! Peppers had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
James looks gassed!
The fighters circle momentarily. Peppers darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Peppers connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Peppers throws a left and a right that both miss
and James counters with a three punch combo that has Peppers backing up. Peppers nods at James to acknowledge the strikes.
The crowd cheers as Peppers lands an impressive looking overhand right. James doesn't seem phased though.
A combination from Peppers does no damage.

Peppers throws a jab but it's blocked by James.
James tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Peppers throws a sloppy head kick and James moves out of range easily.
Peppers moves out of range as James throws a body kick.
Peppers lands a straight punch to the body, keeping James at a distance.
Peppers scores with a decent looking hook.
Peppers is looking to slow James down with leg kicks.
John James is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Peppers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Peppers throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Peppers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Peppers ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
James is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Peppers.
James on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Peppers. Peppers obviously looking to wear him down.

Peppers scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
You can see the frustration on James's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

James is working to avoid the ground and pound but Peppers connects with a decent elbow.

Peppers is looking to take a break and control but James is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Peppers is working to tighten is grip on James's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. James has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Peppers is really squeezing tight and eventually James passes out! Peppers breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
