Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Geronimo Kustavo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vladimir Tretiak!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tretiak feints and as Kustavo raises his hands in defense, Tretiak changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Tretiak wants to pass the guard but Kustavo is keeping the position.
Kustavo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tretiak can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Tretiak has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kustavo to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Tretiak is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kustavo pulls down on the head and he's put Tretiak to sleep! This one is all over!
