PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sawyer Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Dash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sawyer Mac!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony Dash!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mac throws a hook to the side of Dash's head but Dash sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dash is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mac.
Mac shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dash sprawls well. Dash wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mac gets slowly back to his feet.

Dash thows a left - swing and a miss!
Mac uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dash.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dash, as that shot connected.


It looks like Sawyer Mac has been cut.
Dash catches Mac napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Mac to the canvas!


Mac is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dash wants to stand but Mac is controlling his posture from full guard.
Dash wants to stand and escape but instead Mac has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Mac trying to control but Dash is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Mac drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mac jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Mac thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mac postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Dash throws a jab when Mac was well out of range.
Mac misses with the combination.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
A left lands for Dash.
Mac is breathing heavily.
A big left from Dash misses.
Tony Dash is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dash throws a big shot that misses.
Nice takedown defense from Dash. No joy for Mac on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sawyer Mac. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mac takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Dash throws a shot from downtown. Mac moves away and avoids it.
A swing and a miss from Dash.
Dash misses with a looping right.
Mac staying out of range there.
Mac on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Mac avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dash drops Mac with a big left hand and mounts him. Mac is in big trouble!
Oh Mac is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dash is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Mac seems to have got his legs back now.
Dash tries to control but Mac wriggling away.

Dash wants to control the pace but Mac is squirming around nicely.
Dash tries to stand up but Mac had a hold of his arm and he's managed to perform a nice reversal, into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Dash is defending against the submission attempts here by Mac.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Mac fails with a takedown attempt.
Dash might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Sawyer Mac's cut is getting worse.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Good exchange - Dash coming out on top.
Mac is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dash sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Dash is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!Mac had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Dash waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Mac. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Mac to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Dash is looking to stand up but Mac won't let him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tony Dash dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Sawyer Mac's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Dash lands an uppercut, right on the button! Mac tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tony Dash!
