Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hilo Amester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida comes to the cage accompanied by Bleed it out - Linkin Park. Lyoto Machida has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amester shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Machida as he avoids it easily.
Machida goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Machida stuffs the takedown attempt from Amester. Amester gets slowly back to his feet.
Machida keeps the fight on the outside.
Amester has a takedown stuffed.
Lyoto Machida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hilo Amester.

Machida closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Machida seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Amester seems to have recovered his senses.
Amester is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Machida jumps into side control!

Machida shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Amester napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Amester has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Machida is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Machida remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Machida seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Amester for as long as he can get away with.
