Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Subryan Bangaru!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Macho Steiner!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bangaru tries to score a power double leg takedown but Steiner sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bangaru somewhat.
Bangaru shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Steiner as he jumps to the side.
Bangaru shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Steiner defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Subryan Bangaru. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bangaru takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Bangaru will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Steiner clinches up against the cage.
Bangaru on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Bangaru fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Steiner manages to break the clinch.
Steiner throws a sloppy head kick and Bangaru moves out of range easily.
Steiner digs a good hook to Bangaru's body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bangaru shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bangaru shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Steiner pinned against the cage. Steiner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Steiner fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bangaru sprawls well initially but Steiner persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bangaru is breathing heavily.
Steiner wants to take a breather but Bangaru is having none of it.

Steiner seems to be working for a kimura but Bangaru defends the submission attempt.
Steiner throws a strike but Bangaru avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Steiner got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bangaru has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Steiner has managed to get both his arms back between Bangaru's legs - danger averted.
Steiner throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bangaru works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Steiner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Steiner throws a sloppy strike and Bangaru has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Steiner is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Bangaru!
