Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Newborn X (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zachariah Jabari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jabari has chosen All Stars as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! X gets the takedown into side control. X controls the position. Jabari is trying to get back to his feet. Jabari is trying to escape the position but X is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jabari is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, X asserts his dominance and retains side control. X slows the pace down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jabari is trying to buck X off. X slows the pace down. Jabari wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! X trying to control the position but Jabari is working away. X is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Jabari will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Newborn X just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Jabari fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. X looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Jabari tries to clinch there but X circles away.
Nice takedown defense from X. No joy for Jabari on that attempt. X fails in his attempt to clinch. Jabari shoots and misses and X counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jabari! Jabari is trying to stand. X looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jabari tries to buck X off but he can't manage it. X controlling his opponent. Jabari tries to buck X off but he can't manage it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. X controlling the position easily from mount. Jabari is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
X looking for a guillotine from mount but Jabari is having none of it. X is breathing heavily. X tries to control but Jabari wriggling away. Jabari has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. Jabari prevents X from getting a body triangle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Newborn X dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
X darts in trying to clinch and X takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Newborn X is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Horrible takedown by Jabari or perhaps it was just good defense by X which made him look bad. X shoots for a takedown but Jabari saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jabari closes this distance looking for a takedown but X circles away. Jabari throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Nice takedown defense from Jabari. No joy for X on that attempt. Jabari doesn't manage to clinch there - X circles away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jabari lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as X backs up against the cage.
X takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Jabari fails with a takedown attempt. Newborn X has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zachariah Jabari. X avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
X will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jabari tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but X paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jabari dips down and scores with a jab to the body. X stuffs the takedown. Jabari tries for a takedown but X circles away easily and X moves into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jabari goes for a takedown attempt but X pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jabari fails to land with a series of punches.
X tries for a takedown but Jabari sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jabari shoots in but no luck this time. Jabari shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. X manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! X tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jabari wanted to stand there but X had control of the position. X is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. X has a closed guard, preventing Jabari from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. X controlling Jabari's posture.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jabari slaps away a takedown attempt from X, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jabari scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Jabari scores with a body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zachariah Jabari showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Jabari cracks X with a right hand to the side of the head. X fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jabari, pushing him back against the cage. X fails to pull guard.
Jabari tries to score a body lock takedown but X shows good agility there to stay on his feet. X fails to pull guard.
X is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
X tries to throw a body punch but Jabari avoids it by throwing X back against the cage. X misses with a shot to the kidneys.
X jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jabari walks away with a smile on his face. X gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Newborn X. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jabari defends well against a solid takedown attempt from X. Jabari is looking to clinch but X is avoiding it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. X closes the distance looking to clinch and Jabari counters with a single leg into guard. X didn't expect that. X throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
X tries to land a sweep but no joy. X wants to control the position but Jabari says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Jabari wants to stand but X has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jabari shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as X sprawls well. X wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jabari gets slowly back to his feet. X clinches. Jabari is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A hook to the body from X.
A nice left hand lands by X.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Jabari is trying to work for a single leg takedown but X pulls him back up using the underhooks. X can't get the takedown.
Jabari drops to a knee looking for a takedown but X gets the underhooks and prevents it.
X tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jabari smiles and moves away.
X shoots in but no luck this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jabari lands a jab to the nose. X takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Jabari tries for a takedown but X circles away easily and X counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jabari won't be happy with that. X is staying tight to Jabari's torso, preventing him from escaping. X tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Jabari is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Zachariah Jabari. I think Jabari has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
