Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Kurkku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Prak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kurkku comes to the cage accompanied by Födosagan. Prak has chosen Cant be touched as his entrance music. John Kurkku has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurkku closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kurkku lands in his opponent's guard.

Kurkku drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kurkku jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

You get the feeling that Prak really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Gabriel Prak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

BOOM! Kurkku connects with a massive shot to the dome!
You get the feeling that Prak really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Kurkku has control of Prak's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Prak regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Kurkku has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Prak is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kurkku yanks on the arm and Prak is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kurkku.
