The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popov shoots in but no luck this time.
Popov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Acton's waist but Popov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Popov off to one side.
Dougie Acton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Popov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Igor Popov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Acton scores with a sloppy right hand. Popov should have avoided that one.
It looks like Igor Popov has been cut.
Popov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Acton but Acton pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Acton lands with a big left! Popov is wobbled badly! Acton comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Popov to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
