Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Blippy Janks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerson Ruas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Blippy Janks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jerson Ruas! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruas shoots in for a double leg but Janks sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Ruas defending well as Janks loads up on a big left hand. Janks is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ruas. Janks gets the takedown into side control. Ruas tries to improve position but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Ruas's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ruas might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Janks kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Ruas tries to buck Janks off but Janks is having none of it. Janks is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ruas is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Janks wants to control but Ruas is keeping him busy.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Ruas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Janks counters with a takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Janks creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ruas sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Janks in side control, throwing shots but Ruas defends. Ruas tries to buck Janks off but Janks is having none of it. Janks tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Janks has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ruas tries to get back to half guard but can't. Ruas struggling a bit here. Ruas is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Janks off and has taken his back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ruas tightening his grip on Janks, looking for the choke. Ruas has the hooks in. Janks is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Janks defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Ruas's arms. Ruas looks gassed! Ruas has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Janks has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Janks manages to reverse the position and now he's in Ruas's guard. Nice work there by Janks.
Ruas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ruas keeping moving, preventing Janks from controlling successfully. Janks postures up in Ruas's guard and throws a big left but Ruas blocks it. Janks seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Ruas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Janks chips away with some ground and pound. Janks drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Janks jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ruas preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ruas misses with a takedown and Janks counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Blippy Janks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerson Ruas. Janks is pressing down on Ruas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ruas is holding on for now. Ruas avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Janks. Ruas is looking to improve his position.
Janks is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Ruas wants to improve his position but Janks is controlling well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Janks is trying to control the action in half guard but Ruas is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ruas moves into full guard.
Janks drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Janks jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ruas keeping moving, preventing Janks from controlling successfully. Janks advances to half guard. Janks throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ruas is trying to get back to full guard. Ruas avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Janks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blippy Janks dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Janks's corner is telling him to maintain position. Janks trying to control the position from guard on top but Ruas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ruas can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Janks controls the pace. Blippy Janks overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Janks is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Ruas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ruas is breathing heavily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ruas shoots and misses and Janks counters with a single leg into guard. Ruas didn't expect that. Janks wants to control from the top but Ruas keeps moving. Janks throws a big right hand that misses. Janks throwing strikes but missing. Janks throwing strikes but missing. Ruas looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Janks throwing strikes from guard but Ruas blocks nicely. Janks postures up in Ruas's guard and throws a big left but Ruas blocks it. Ruas is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ruas moves out of range as Janks throws a body kick.
Ruas moves out of range as Janks strikes. Janks closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Janks lands in his opponent's guard. Janks trying to control but Ruas is working from the bottom. Janks stopping the sweep attempt from Ruas. Ruas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Janks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Janks pushing down on Ruas's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Ruas is trying to maintain the position but Janks is very close to passing his half guard. Janks looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Janks seems to be looking for submissions.
Ruas is not content to let Janks control the position. Janks is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ruas sees it coming and defends easily. Ruas trying to control but Janks postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ruas is looking to improve his position.
Ruas keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Janks throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ruas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Janks.
Janks closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ruas tries to buck Janks off but Janks is having none of it. Janks tries for a kimura but Ruas is defending well. Janks working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Ruas is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blippy Janks dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Ruas wants to sweep here but Janks controlling him for the moment. Janks wants to control from the top but Ruas keeps moving. Ruas avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ruas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Janks misses with a hook. Ruas ducked under it nicely. Janks darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Janks is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ruas defends it well. Janks is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Ruas is looking for a sweep. Janks is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ruas makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ruas. Janks trying to control but Ruas is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Janks slips nicely into half guard. Ruas blocking the ground and pound attempt from Janks. Janks is thwarting Ruas's attempts to control the position. Janks working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Janks is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Ruas wants to sweep but Janks has passed to side control! Janks thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Ruas tries to improve position but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Janks works to advance to full mount. Ruas defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Ruas is trying desperately to improve position. Janks takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Janks is going olschool here, as he tries to force Ruas to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Ruas shrugs it off. Ruas tries to get back to half guard but can't. Poor strikes thrown by Janks there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Janks misses with a head shot. Ruas is desperately trying to improve his position but Janks has a good base and remains in mount. Ruas holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Janks tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Ruas is looking to improve his position but Janks isn't that keen on the idea. Janks looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Ruas is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Janks tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Ruas tries to reverse the position but Janks maintains control. Janks working for a submission but Ruas is keeping him at bay. Janks takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Blippy Janks showed his dominance in that final round. Well Janks has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
