Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gegard Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gegard Drago! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Jones! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones is looking to chop away at Drago's legs. Drago takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses. Jones throws a right and a left that both miss. Drago slow jab from Jones misses its intended target. Nice defenses there by Jones. Drago misses with a looping right. Drago fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Jones checks it well. Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Jones goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Drago rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jones's guard! Nice work there by Drago! Drago stopping the sweep attempt from Jones. Drago wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones keeping moving, preventing Drago from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Drago is controlling him. Jones is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Jones not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Drago looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range. Drago ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Drago throws a quick inside leg kick. Drago misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Drago looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range. Drago tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily so Jones counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Jones working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jones preventing the sweep. Drago looking for a guillotine here but Jones defends easily.
Drago wants to hit a switch here but Jones passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Drago there! Drago is breathing heavily. Jones controlling from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drago tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jones throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Drago is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action. Jones throws some wild stikes that Drago manages to avoid easily.
Drago tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Drago is trying to escape the mount.
Jones manages to capitalize on a mistake by Drago to take his back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones misses with punches from the back. Jones has the hooks in. Drago is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Jones is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Drago avoids the strikes from Jones. Drago breaks Jones's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Jones dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Drago misses with a hook. Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Drago, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Drago against the cage but Drago circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Drago plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Jones throws a jab when Drago was well out of range. Jones tries to clinch but Drago moves out of range. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Drago as he jumps to the side. Drago keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Jones avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Drago fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Gegard Drago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Drago misses with a hook. Jones ducked under it nicely. Drago throws a shot to the body.
A combination from Drago does no damage. Drago moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Drago is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones. Jones is breathing heavily. Some wild striking there from Drago.
Drago closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Drago working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is trying to keep from getting into a worse position than he's already in but Jones is working away and isn't letting himself get tied up. Drago tries to move to mount but Jones blocks the move with his legs. Jones is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Drago is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Drago jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Jones is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Jones and Drago has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Jones tries to bench press Drago off him but Drago keeps the position. Drago gets to mount! Jones was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Drago fails to move to back control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Drago working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Jones tries to reverse the position but Drago maintains control. Jones wants to control but Drago is having none of it. Drago moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jones has worked his arm free - good work by Jones!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Drago swings around for an armbar but Jones sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Drago's guard. Jones throwing strikes from guard but Drago blocks nicely. Jones decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Drago tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Drago looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range. Drago avoids the head kick by Jones.
Drago misses with a wild body shot. Jones misses with a takedown and Drago counters with a stiff right hand. Gegard Drago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Jones. Drago swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Drago doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jones counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones keeps control of Drago as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Drago is trying to break free. Jones manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Drago passes Jones's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Drago blocks the strikes from Jones.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gegard Drago will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Drago swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Drago sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Drago is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Drago keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Drago actively working from the bottom here. Drago is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Jones pulls his head out easily. Drago tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg. Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Drago is trying to maintain the position but Jones is very close to passing his half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Drago but Drago pushes him off and we're back to square one. Drago tries to land a leg kick but Jones saw it coming and moves away.
Jones tries to bum rush Drago with a series of wild strikes but Drago uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Drago takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
No joy there for Drago, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Drago scores with the left hand. Jones knows he should have avoided that one. Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Drago bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard. Drago controls from within his opponent's guard. Jones has his foot on Drago's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Drago works his way back into a safe position though.

Gegard Drago is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones clinches. Drago wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Drago shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well. Jones gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Jones jumps guard and drags Drago to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Drago manages to get himself to full guard.
Jones decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Drago, up you get!
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
