Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richard Johnson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andy Jones! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Richard Johnson! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Johnson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jones looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Johnson! Jones is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Johnson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Jones looking for a guillotine from mount but Johnson is having none of it. Jones looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Jones goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Johnson turns into him and now he's in Jones's guard.
Johnson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jones is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Johnson, into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jonesis looking to pass into half guard but Johnson pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Johnson is in guard. Johnson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jones is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jones has escaped and now he's on top! Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Johnson is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jones drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Johnson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jones has Johnson in his guard. Johnson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andy Jones dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Johnson has his takedown stuffed and Jones counters with a nice double leg into guard. Jones has escaped and now he's on top! Johnson throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jones escapes and throws Johnson's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jones is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Johnson has escaped the position, nice work there. Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Johnson, who protects the arm well. Jones has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Johnson!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Johnson turns into him and now he's in Jones's guard.
Jones has Johnson pulled in close to control his posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jones wants to sweep but no luck. Jones keeping full guard, as Johnson tries to pass. Johnson has gone for a leg lock! Jones slips out almost immediately though and dives into Johnson's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andy Jones dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jones moves into the clinch. Jones is trying to trip Johnson. He has hold of a leg but Johnson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jones persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Jones drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Johnson dives on top into guard. Johnson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jones is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Johnson, into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Johnson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jones drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Johnson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jones has Johnson in his guard.

Jones has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Johnson defend it? Jones steps over the head and cranks it - Johnson is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Jones!
