Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jose reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). jose reyes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcus Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, jose reyes! The judges for this bout are , and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as reyes sprawls well. reyes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lee gets slowly back to his feet. reyes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lee tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. reyes closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - reyes lands in his opponent's guard. reyes must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. reyes controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Lee utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. reyes is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee looking to hit a scissor sweep but reyes is one step ahead there. reyes trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lee's guard. reyes controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. reyes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. reyes is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. reyes trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. reyes wants to stand but Lee has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Lee keeping moving, preventing reyes from controlling successfully.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. reyes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee has his takedown stuffed and reyes counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by reyes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. reyes is looking to stand up but Lee won't let him. Lee keeping moving, preventing reyes from controlling successfully. Lee is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. reyes is aware though and is defending well. Lee is breathing heavily. reyes would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Lee has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but reyes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. reyes is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Lee looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. reyes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. reyes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
jose reyes dominated that round. That's time! Lee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Lee with a lazy takedown attempt and reyes counters into the clinch. Nicely done. reyes manages to break the clinch.
reyes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing reyes off to one side. Lee closes the distance looking to clinch and reyes counters into the clinch. Nicely done. reyes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. reyes takes the fight into the clinch. A head punch on the inside from Lee fails to land. Lee is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. reyes tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

reyes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lee pinned against the cage. Lee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Lee clinches but reyes breaks the clinch and reyes counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by reyes. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. reyes looking for a takedown. Marcus Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of jose reyes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee wants to get back to striking at distance but reyes won't allow it.

Lee fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lee jumps guard but reyes stands there with Lee around his waist. Lee gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

A short right hand to the side of the head by reyes. Lee jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as reyes walks away with a smile on his face. Lee gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. reyes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lee sprawls well. Lee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. reyes gets slowly back to his feet. Lee wants to clinch and reyes counters by clinching up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. reyes tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lee just stands there and leans against the cage. Lee drops to a knee looking for a takedown but reyes gets the underhooks and prevents it.

reyes fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Lee jumps into guard, dragging reyes to the mat.
reyes has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Lee to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! reyes is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Lee pulls down on the head and he's put reyes to sleep! This one is all over!
