Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Neal Nuss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Ranson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Neal Nuss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Ranson! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ranson is looking to clinch. Nuss feints and as Ranson raises his hands in defense, Nuss changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ranson working a defensive guard here.
Nuss throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ranson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ranson wants to stand up but Nuss is controlling him. Nuss distracts Ranson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Nuss is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Ranson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nuss is controlling him. Ranson keeping moving, preventing Nuss from controlling successfully. Ranson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ranson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Nuss doesn't seem bothered though. Ranson closes the distance and clinches. Ranson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nuss moves into the clinch. Ranson lands a body punch in the clinch. Nuss has a couple of punches blocked by Ranson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ranson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nuss fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ranson avoids it really well and circles away. Ranson throws a right hand that Nuss ducks under and follows up with a left that Nuss also avoids with ease. Ranson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Nuss did well to prevent Ranson getting side control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Nuss is breathing heavily. Ranson stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Nuss tries to clinch up but Ranson circles away and keeps his distance. Nuss with a poor takedown and Ranson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Nuss shoots in and drives through. Ranson sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Neal Nuss. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nuss walks into a straight right hand from Ranson. Ranson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Nuss is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ranson sitting and controlling from the half guard. Oh Nuss is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Ranson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ranson controlling his opponent. Nuss seems to have got his legs back now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ranson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nuss is looking to escape. Nuss really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Ranson controlling from mount. Ranson avoids the attempt from Nuss to control. Ranson has hold of Nuss's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nuss manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nuss is in all sorts of trouble here.
Nuss is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Nuss has left one of his arms exposed and Ranson doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Nuss screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
