The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brennerd punishes Hosebie's body with a nice straight punch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brennerd tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hosebie swats him away and circles back towards the center.

No joy there for Brennerd, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hosebie closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brennerd to the mat! Brennerd manages to get full guard.
Hosebie passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Hosebie goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Brennerd has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hosebie but great work by Brennerd.

Hosebie is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Brennerd off and has taken his back!
Hosebie is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Brennerd with him. Brennerd is trying to defend but Hosebie has an arm under the chin now! Brennerd grimaces and is forced to tap out!
