Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andy Jones! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Royce Gracie! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jones goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Gracie has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jones but great work by Gracie. Jones sneaks back into half guard. Gracie trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom. Jones tries to get to full guard but Gracie has control of the leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is keen to just control but Jones is a slippery customer. Gracie is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jones wants to get back to full guard but Gracie has passed into side control. Jones working to try and regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jones is looking to escape. Jones is trying desperately to improve position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jones manages to regain half guard. Good work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andy Jones dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jones scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Jones goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Gracie rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jones's guard! Nice work there by Gracie! Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Jones looking for a sweep. Not yet Jones, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jones has his foot on Gracie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gracie works his way back into a safe position though. Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gracie's guard. Gracie is trying to control the position but Jones postures up. Jones drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Gracie dives on top into guard. Jones is looking for a triangle here but Gracie uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. A lull in the action here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones is looking for a sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gracie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Jones struggling a bit here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones is trying to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie working away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jones manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Jones wants to get back to full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jones counters with a takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jones working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Jones is trying to get an arm triangle but Gracie is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones swings around for an armbar but Gracie sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jones's guard. Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gracie manages to get himself to full guard.
Gracie takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gracie is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gracie has escaped and now he's on top! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andy Jones clearly takes that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Gracie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so Jones counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jones is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gracie is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gracie has escaped and now he's on top! Jones lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gracie!
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Gracie has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Gracie!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jones is controlling Gracie's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gracie is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jones is trying to control the position but Gracie postures up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andy Jones had his way with Royce Gracie in that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jones counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jones. Gracie not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jones stands and throws Gracie's legs to the side, diving into side control. Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gracie, who protects the arm well. Jones tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gracie has escaped the position, nice work there. Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gracie is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Jones has an Americana. Gracie didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Jones is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Jones hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
