Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Finklestein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Paige (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Fedor Finklestein has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Fedor Finklestein seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fedor Finklestein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Paige! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Finklestein tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Paige swivels and escapes. Nice sprawl there from Paige as Finklestein shoots in. Finklestein has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fedor Finklestein. That's going to take a lot out of him. Paige slaps away a takedown attempt from Finklestein, before circling back to the center of the mat. Paige fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Finklestein sprawls well initially but Paige persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Paige is working for a submission of some sort.
Paige is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Finklestein defends it well. Finklestein is trying to control but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paige blocks the strikes from Finklestein.
Paige wants to work for an arm triangle but Finklestein is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Paige accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Finklestein is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Finklestein striking from the bottom.

Finklestein has his foot on Paige's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Paige works his way back into a safe position though. Finklestein working for a triangle but Paige defends it easily.

Paige drops back, looking for a kneebar! Finklestein looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Finklestein looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Finklestein! Finklestein landing a few strikes. Finklestein landing strikes. Paige takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Finklestein lands an elbow. Paige is working to avoid the ground and pound but Finklestein connects with a decent elbow. Finklestein lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Paige is looking for a sweep. Finklestein lands a few punches from side control. Paige takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Finklestein scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Paige to see if he's OK. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Finklestein grinds an elbow into Paige's temple. Paige wants to get back to his feet. Finklestein scores with punches from side control. Finklestein lands some shots froms side control. Finklestein has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Finklestein working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fedor Finklestein dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Finklestein fails with the takedown and Paige counters with a nice double leg into side control. Finklestein won't be happy with that. Finklestein manages to get back to half guard. Finklestein misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Finklestein tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Finklestein throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Paige throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Finklestein wants to improve his position but Paige is controlling well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Finklestein shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Paige counters with a shoot takedown. Finklestein fights it but they end up in guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paige drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Paige jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Finklestein trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Finklestein bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Paige's guard. Paige working for a triangle but Finklestein defends it easily.
Finklestein passes easily into side control. Nice work. Finklestein lands a nice forearm strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Finklestein working the head with strikes. Finklestein is putting a hurting on Paige here, landing some big shots from side control. Fedor Finklestein overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Paige gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Finklestein is landing with some decent strikes but Paige is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Paige wants to get back to his feet.

Finklestein lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Finklestein pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Finklestein is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Paige can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Finklestein raining down shots from the mount! Paige takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Finklestein's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
