Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andy Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jones drew jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). jones drew jr has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andy Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, jones drew jr!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Dean Styles and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller dodges the punch combination from drew jr.
Horrible takedown by Miller or perhaps it was just good defense by drew jr which made him look bad.

Miller scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Miller postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Miller sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but drew jr is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
drew jr is trying to buck Miller off.

Miller decides to stand back up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Miller seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

drew jr makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
drew jr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Miller circles away quickly and effectively.
Miller shoots for a takedown but drew jr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Miller throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around drew jr's waist but drew jr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Miller off to one side.

Miller feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Miller stands and throws drew jr's legs to the side, diving into side control.
drew jr is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Miller has just dragged him back down to the mat.

A frustrated look appears on drew jr's face as he tries to break the clinch.

and drew jr counters with a three punch combo that has Miller backing up. Miller nods at drew jr to acknowledge the strikes.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
drew jr lands a jab to the head.
drew jr is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Miller takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Andy Miller.
