Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Don Krull! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shrimp McGimp! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGimp shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McGimp showed some decent athleticism there. McGimp is trying to control the action in half guard but Krull is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Krull is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute McGimp jumps into side control! Krull tries to improve position but can't. McGimp just content to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McGimp wants to lay and pray for a moment but Krull keeps working. McGimp taking a breather here. Krull is trying to get back to half guard. Krull struggling a bit here. McGimp trying to control the position but Krull is working away.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. McGimp tries to bum rush Krull with a series of wild strikes but Krull uses good footwork to avoid the assault. McGimp bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. McGimp has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. The fight stays on the outside here - Krull looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Krull shoots and misses and McGimp counters with a shoot takedown. Krull fights it but they end up in guard. Krull is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Krull is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. McGimp stands and steps away. Krull gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Krull is breathing heavily. McGimp gets a takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McGimp content to control rather than advance.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Krull is looking to control McGimp's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Krull avoid being mounted? McGimp looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. McGimp looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Krull with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. McGimp is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Krull misses with some strikes from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, McGimp seems content to control. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. McGimp lands a nice short elbow. McGimp takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. McGimp lands with a punch from half guard. Krull is refusing to be controlled, as McGimp sits in half guard. McGimp controlling the pace.
Despite being in the dominant position, Shrimp McGimp just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. McGimp shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Krull manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Krull is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McGimp trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Krull working for a triangle but McGimp defends it easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Krull is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McGimp pulls his head out easily. McGimp is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McGimp closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Krull is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. McGimp wants to pass to mount but Krull is defending the position. McGimp wants to stand but Krull has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Krull is trying to stand.
McGimp tries to pass to full mount but Krull defends it. Krull throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and McGimp manages to pass to side control. Krull manages to work his way to half guard, despite McGimp's best efforts.

Krull with a poor takedown and McGimp counters with a takedown into side control. McGimp is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Krull has escaped the position, nice work there. Krull is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but McGimp is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGimp controlling his opponent. Krull is looking to improve his position but McGimp isn't that keen on the idea. McGimp is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Krull can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

McGimp is landing with some decent strikes but Krull is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. McGimp tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Krull manages to regain half guard. Good work. Krull tries to roll over but McGimp keeps him under control. McGimp controlling the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shrimp McGimp showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
McGimp shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than McGimp was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Krull throwing hammer fists to the chest of McGimp. What's that going to do exactly? Krull tries to get back to half guard but can't. A nice elbow there by McGimp. Krull working to try and regain half guard.

Krull with a lazy takedown attempt and McGimp counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Krull's guard now. Krull will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. McGimp slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Shrimp McGimp has got the better of the ground game so far. McGimp is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. McGimp is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. McGimp passes easily into side control. Nice work. McGimp staying calm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McGimp landing a few strikes. Krull is working to avoid the ground and pound but McGimp connects with a decent elbow. McGimp working away. McGimp slows the pace down. Krull is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked McGimp off and has taken his back! Krull doesn't have the hooks in and McGimp manages to turn into his guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Krull looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! McGimp has picked Krull up and slammed him! Krull can't keep hold of the triangle and McGimp manages to pass to side control! McGimp takes a little break here. Krull wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. McGimp passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Krull! McGimp breaks from Krull's wrist control and lands an elbow. McGimp has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Krull's face.

Krull shoots and misses and McGimp counters with a nice double leg into half guard. McGimp has been the more effective fighter overall so far. McGimp is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. McGimp winds up and cracks Krull with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Shrimp McGimp is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
And that's the end of the fight! Shrimp McGimp comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well McGimp has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
