The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mims throws out a loose jab but Maynard uses good head movement to avoid it.
The fighters circling - Maynard throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Maynard staying out of range there.
Mims misses with a wild combination.
Mims fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Maynard throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Mims takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Maynard lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mims's sensitive parts.
Maynard tries to clinch there but Mims circles away.
Mims throws a right and a left that both miss.
Maynard throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Mims slips under a jab from Maynard.

Maynard has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Mims shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Mims cracks Maynard with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Mims tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Maynard was well out of range. Poor timing from Mims.
Mims slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Maynard gets the takedown into side control.

Maynard tries for a kimura but Mims is defending well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mims is trying to get back to his feet.

Maynard wants to control but Mims is keeping him busy.

Maynard goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mims rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Maynard's guard! Nice work there by Mims!

Maynard has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Mims doesn't defend quickly enough and Maynard has managed to lock this one up! Can Mims escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Maynard on a fantastic submission victory.
