2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Patterson! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! House shoots in for a takedown but Patterson shows good takedown defense. House closes the distance and clinches. House breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

House gets caught flat footed, as Patterson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. House looking for a guillotine here but Patterson defends easily.

Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! House tries to improve position but can't. Patterson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. House knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. House is positioning himself to get back to half guard. House is not content to let Patterson control the position. House tries to buck Patterson off but Patterson is having none of it. Patterson trying to control the position but House is working away. Patterson advances nicely into full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Patterson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. House can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Oh House is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Patterson has control of House's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and House regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Patterson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but House is surviving well by controlling Patterson's body position as best he can. House seems to have got his legs back now. House is desperately trying to improve his position but Patterson has a good base and remains in mount. House is working hard here to advance position. Patterson lands a nice shot to the head. House is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
House is controlling an arm, preventing Patterson from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
That's four minutes gone in the round. House gets back to half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. House tries to roll over but Patterson keeps him under control. Patterson is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Patterson wants to control the pace but House is squirming around nicely. Patterson looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
House on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if House tries to get out of the position. Patterson lands a nice shot to the head. House has given up his back here. Will Patterson look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Patterson looking to pass the guard. House has his foot on Patterson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Patterson works his way back into a safe position though. Patterson drops back looking for a leg! House is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and House manages to kick Patterson off! Patterson jumps back into House's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Patterson dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
House takes the fight into the clinch. Patterson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. House fights it off and pushes away nicely.
House throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
House gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Patterson tries to score a body lock takedown but House shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Patterson gets a trip takedown into half guard. House gets back to full guard.
House has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Patterson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Patterson passes House's left leg - he's now in half guard. Patterson passes the guard and advances to mount! Patterson working House over with strikes here.

Patterson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Patterson with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
House is wriggling around trying to escape.
Patterson looking to isolate an arm here. House doesn't see it coming and as Patterson extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Patterson!
