The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benn slips a straight right by Mildenhall. Benn takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Benn drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Mildenhall is looking to reverse the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Benn looking to control but Mildenhall is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Mildenhall escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Benn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Benn's corner is telling him to maintain position. Mildenhall is looking for a triangle but Benn pushes his legs off easily.
