The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson tries to bum rush Petrovich with a series of wild strikes but Petrovich uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Petrovich moves out of range of the body kick.
Petrovich misses with a wild body shot.
Dawson tries to close the distance and clinch but Petrovich swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dawson throws the kick towards the body but Petrovich avoids it.
Petrovich showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dawson.
Dawson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Petrovich.
Dawson dodges the punch combination from Petrovich.
Dawson tries for a takedown but Petrovich sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Petrovich misses the shot to the body.
Petrovich will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dawson shoots in but Petrovich avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dawson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jesse Dawson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dawson is breathing heavily.
Petrovich blocks the body kick.
Petrovich slaps away a takedown attempt from Dawson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesse Dawson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dawson misses with a double jab.
Dawson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Petrovich jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Alekai Petrovich is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Petrovich is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Dawson flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Dawson is out cold! Petrovich holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
