Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jordon Hanilton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxwell Kegele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kegele is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Soulforged. Jordon Hanilton looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jordon Hanilton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Maxwell Kegele! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hanilton closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hanilton lands in his opponent's guard. Kegele will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Hanilton postures up.
Hanilton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kegele has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hanilton has managed to get both his arms back between Kegele's legs - danger averted. Kegele striking off his back but it's not causing Hanilton any problems. Kegele bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hanilton's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kegele wants to control from the top but Hanilton keeps moving. Kegele is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hanilton preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kegele throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kegele trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kegele postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kegele stops Hanilton from standing up. Hanilton working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kegele.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hanilton scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Kegele wants to improve his position but Hanilton is controlling well.
Kegele is not content to let Hanilton control the position. Hanilton landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kegele is looking for a sweep. Hanilton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hanilton wants to take a breather but Kegele is having none of it. Kegele tries to get to full guard but Hanilton has control of the leg. Hanilton is breathing heavily. Hanilton controlling the action here. Kegele has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Kegele doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hanilton counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Hanilton looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Hanilton tries to pass to full mount but Kegele defends it. Kegele is pressing down on Hanilton's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kegele keeping moving, preventing Hanilton from controlling successfully. Kegele uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Kegele gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kegele pushes Hanilton off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Kegele has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hanilton has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kegele avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Kegele has hold of one of Hanilton's legs. Hanilton is fighting the takedown attempt but Kegele gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Hanilton keeping full guard, as Kegele tries to pass. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kegele accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kegele wants to control from the top but Hanilton keeps moving. Hanilton utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kegele trying to control the position from guard on top but Hanilton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hanilton drives through with a takedown into guard. Kegele is looking to stand up but Hanilton isn't so interested in that idea. Kegele has his foot on Hanilton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hanilton works his way back into a safe position though. Hanilton has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kegele keeping moving, preventing Hanilton from controlling successfully. Hanilton throws a strike but Kegele rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Hanilton scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanilton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kegele pinned against the cage. Kegele gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kegele tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hanilton misses with a takedown attempt and Kegele counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Hanilton sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Kegele misses with a takedown and Hanilton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hanilton is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Hanilton wants to control from the top but Kegele keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hanilton loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kegele escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hanilton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kegele keeping moving, preventing Hanilton from controlling successfully. Kegele wants to stand up but Hanilton is controlling him. Kegele has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hanilton has passed into side control.
Kegele is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hanilton off and has taken his back! Hanilton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kegele throws strikes from the back but Hanilton rolls nicely and manages to end up in full guard. Nice work by Hanilton.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kegele throws and elbow that misses. Hanilton uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kegele's guard. Nice move by Hanilton! Hanilton landing with the ground and pound. Hanilton wants to control from the top but Kegele keeps moving. Kegele is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hanilton cracks Kegele with a solid left hand. Hanilton works over Kegele with some ground and pound from guard. Kegele working a defensive guard but Hanilton manages to pass into side control anyway.

Hanilton is putting a hurting on Kegele here, landing some big shots from side control. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Hanilton cracks Kegele with an elbow. That is naaassty. Hanilton circles away from the clinch attempt and Hanilton counters with a single leg into guard. Kegele didn't expect that. Kegele keeping full guard, as Hanilton tries to pass. Kegele manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hanilton manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters roll with the hold and Hanilton manages to kick Kegele off! Kegele jumps back into Hanilton's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kegele lands a couple of digs.

Kegele throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hanilton works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kegele lands a couple of elbows. Hanilton has his feet on Kegele's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Jordon Hanilton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hanilton looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hanilton working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kegele's head. Kegele bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hanilton's guard. Kegele missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Hanilton pushes Kegele off and gets back to his feet.
Hanilton misses with a takedown and Kegele counters with a single leg into guard. Hanilton didn't expect that. Kegele prevents Hanilton from getting back to his feet. Kegele lands a couple of decent looking shots. This has been an exciting period of action! Kegele working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Kegele tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Hanilton counters with a shoot takedown. Kegele fights it but they end up in guard. Hanilton preventing the sweep. Hanilton seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hanilton looking to sit in guard and control but Kegele gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kegele working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Maxwell Kegele has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jordon Hanilton is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kegele throws and elbow that misses. Hanilton uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kegele's guard. Nice move by Hanilton! Hanilton stands up over Kegele, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hanilton is working Kegele over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kegele throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hanilton uses it to pass to side control.

And that's the end of the fight! Jordon Hanilton showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hanilton, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
