Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard Wilcox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tix Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Richard Wilcox has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Wilcox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tix Kane!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilcox tries to clinch but Kane moves out of range.
Wilcox is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kane sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kane shoots and misses
and Wilcox counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wilcox throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Wilcox tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kane swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kane shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wilcox napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kane cracks Wilcox with a big elbow.
Kane in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Wilcox is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kane asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Wilcox can't do much from the bottom here.
Kane tries to advance to mount but Wilcox denies him.
Wilcox is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wilcox wants to control but Kane postures up.
Kane decides to stand back up. Kane steps back and let's Wilcox get back to his feet.
Wilcox lands a two punch combo.
Wilcox is looking to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wilcox looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wilcox fails with the takedown
and Kane counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Wilcox is breathing heavily.
Wilcox is refusing to be controlled, as Kane sits in half guard.
Kane performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Kane wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wilcox keeps working.
Kane perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Let's hope that Kane has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Wilcox is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ground and pound from Kane.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kane is trying to control. Wilcox wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kane not doing much here.
Kane winds up and cracks Wilcox with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Kane tries to stand but can't do so whilst Wilcox controls his leg.
Wilcox taking some punishment here, with Kane in his half guard.
Wilcox has hold of Kane's hands but Kane slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kane performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Kane throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Wilcox is trying to stand back up but Kane is controlling him
Kane lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Kane winds up and cracks Wilcox with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Kane works his way into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kane with a couple of short strikes.
Wilcox is rocked!
It looks like Richard Wilcox has been cut.
Kane postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Wilcox badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Kane around the waist but Kane pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Kane is the winner by TKO! Kane jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tix Kane!
