The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nosay goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Battista is on top in guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nosay is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Nosay decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Nosay feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Battista is refusing to be controlled, as Nosay sits in half guard.

Battista knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nosay on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nosay might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Battista kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Battista has his feet on Nosay's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nosay is trying to control here but Battista has managed to regain half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Battista misses with a two punch combination.
Battista displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nosay.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
