Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lay Pray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Troy Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pray comes to the cage accompanied by You're the Best Around. Lay Pray could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Troy Tyson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lay Pray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Troy Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tyson scores with a takedown into Pray's guard.
Pray keeping moving, preventing Tyson from controlling successfully.
Tyson with a flurry of punches that miss.
Tyson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pray swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Tyson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Pray tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tyson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Tyson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pray works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Pray looking to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pray swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tyson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pray sprawls well. Pray wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tyson gets slowly back to his feet.
Tyson dives in and grabs Pray's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pray pushes down on Tyson's head and hops out.
Tyson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lay Pray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Troy Tyson.

Pray gets a clinch.

Pray is pressed up against the cage. Tyson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pray down to the mat. Pray avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Pray throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Tyson shoots for a double leg takedown but Pray sprawls well. He's pushed Tyson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Pray could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Pray throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


It looks like Troy Tyson has been cut.
Pray looks to land a right hand but Tyson moved out of range.
No luck for Tyson with that takedown attempt.
Pray throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Pray tries to clinch up but Tyson circles away and keeps his distance.
Tyson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Pray.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pray lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Pray bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tyson's head backwards.
Pray lands with an uppercut that bounces Tyson off the cage and back into rage.

Pray gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Pray landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Pray lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Pray working Tyson over with knees to the body.
Pray lands an elbow inside that Tyson shrugs off.
Pray tries a knee to the head but Tyson blocks it.
Pray lands an elbow inside.
Pray connects with a nasty looking knee right to Tyson's face.
Pray lands a good knee to the midsection. Tyson won't want to take too many of those.
Tyson takes a knee right on the jaw!

Pray creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Tyson's defenses.

Tyson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pray fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pray tries to roll over but Tyson keeps him under control.
Still in half guard, Tyson seems content to control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tyson wants to take a breather but Pray is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Troy Tyson's cut.
That's time! Pray's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Pray tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Tyson misses with a series of wild punches.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Tyson.
Tyson is looking to take a break and control but Pray is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Tyson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Pray knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tyson on the ground.
Tyson tries to move into full mount but can't pass Pray's legs.

Tyson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Pray sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Pray avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Tyson.

Tyson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pray, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tyson tries to advance to mount but Pray denies him.

Tyson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Pray tries to buck Tyson off but Tyson is having none of it.

Pray is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tyson asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pray takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A head kick misses from Pray.
Pray throws a head kick that misses.
Tyson fails to land with a series of punches.
Tyson keeps the fight on the outside.
Pray throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Pray throws a head kick but Tyson moves out of range.

It looks like Lay Pray has been cut.
Tyson shoots in but Pray avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Tyson shoots in looking for a takedown. Pray tries to sprawl out of it but Tyson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pray manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Pray fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tyson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Pray gets underhooks to prevent Tyson's takedown attempt.

Pray lands an elbow that stopped Tyson in his tracks for a moment.

Tyson takes an elbow to the forehead.

Tyson tries to break the clinch but Pray is controlling the position.

Troy Tyson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Tyson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Tyson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pray circles away.
Pray fails with an attempt to clinch.

Pray fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tyson on the side of the head.

Tyson throws a right hand that Pray ducks under and follows up with a left that Pray also avoids with ease.

Tyson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pray's waist but Pray gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tyson off to one side.
Pray tries to clinch but Tyson moves out of range.
Tyson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Pray lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Pray lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Pray tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tyson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pray lands a head kick. Tyson smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Lay Pray is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Tyson feints and as Pray raises his hands in defense, Tyson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tyson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Tyson closes the distance and clinches up with Pray, looking for a takedown. Tyson pushes Pray against the cage but Pray circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Pray is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Tyson has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Pray is looking to defend but Tyson has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Pray! Tyson pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Pray taps out and this one is all over!
