Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yoshihiro Takaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Eichstaedt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takaya comes to the cage accompanied by Jimi Hendrix - All along the Watchtower. The crowd seem to be enjoying Eichstaedt's choice of entrance music: Klaxons- Gravity Rainbow. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yoshihiro Takaya! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robert Eichstaedt! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takaya moves into range and connects with a jab. Takaya throws a body punch but Eichstaedt moves out of range. Eichstaedt tries to close the distance and clinch up but Takaya swats him away and circles back towards the center. Takaya tries to clinch there but Eichstaedt circles away.
Eichstaedt misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Takaya.
Takaya avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Takaya lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Eichstaedt circles away quickly and effectively. Takaya's corner calls for a 1-2. Takaya obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Robert Eichstaedt has been cut. Takaya connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Takaya misses with a looping left. Takaya throws a nice looking combination but Eichstaedt bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Takaya waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Eichstaedt. Takaya keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Eichstaedt. Takaya throws a lazy right hand but Eichstaedt sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takaya bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Takaya changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Eichstaedt tries to avoid it but Takaya manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Eichstaedt to the ground. Eichstaedt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Eichstaedt throws a head kick that misses. A combination from Takaya does no damage. Eichstaedt tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Takaya misses with an uppercut. Eichstaedt saw that one coming. Eichstaedt scores with a nice right hand.
Takaya steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Eichstaedt. Takaya closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Eichstaedt to the mat! Eichstaedt manages to get full guard. Takaya trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Takaya is looking to work some ground and pound but Eichstaedt has wrist control. Takaya passes Eichstaedt's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eichstaedt makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Eichstaedt. Eichstaedt is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Takaya not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Eichstaedt keeping moving, preventing Takaya from controlling successfully. Takaya stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Eichstaedt swivels though and keeps the full guard. Takaya has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Takaya throwing strikes from guard but Eichstaedt blocks nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eichstaedt is looking to sweep but instead, Takaya has passed into half guard.
Takaya is taking a breather. Eichstaedt says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Takaya thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Eichstaedt's head. Takaya working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Eichstaedt trying to control from the bottom.
Eichstaedt is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Takaya is staying active. Takaya not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Takaya passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Eichstaedt!
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Takaya wants to control the pace but Eichstaedt is squirming around nicely. Eichstaedt tries to hold on but Takaya pushes him away. Eichstaedt is looking to get to half guard. Takaya is landing with some decent strikes but Eichstaedt is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Takaya sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yoshihiro Takaya dominated that round. The cut man is working on Robert Eichstaedt's cut. That's time! Takaya's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Eichstaedt pushes Takaya up against the cage in a clinch. Takaya looking for a takedown. Eichstaedt misses with a hook from the clinch. Eichstaedt is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Takaya tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Eichstaedt just stands there and leans against the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Takaya. A frustrated look appears on Takaya's face as he tries to break the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Eichstaedt stalling against the cage.

Eichstaedt pushes off an throws an elbow but Takaya leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Takaya has clasped his hands together around Eichstaedt's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takaya cracks Eichstaedt with an elbow. That is naaassty. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Takaya lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Takaya working the strikes but Eichstaedt uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Eichstaedt is defending against the submission attempts here by Takaya.
Takaya is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Eichstaedt has managed to free his arm - good work. Eichstaedt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Takaya is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eichstaedt makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Eichstaedt. Eichstaedt keeping full guard, as Takaya tries to pass. Eichstaedt preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Eichstaedt not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Eichstaedt misses with an uppercut. Takaya saw that one coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eichstaedt swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Eichstaedt tries to clinch up. No luck for Takaya with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yoshihiro Takaya. That's going to take a lot out of him. Eichstaedt tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Takaya cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Eichstaedt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Eichstaedt looks to clinch and Takaya counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Takaya misses with a shot to the body and Eichstaedt counters with a nice uppercut. Eichstaedt throws a hook but Takaya avoids it easily. Eichstaedt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Eichstaedt thows a body shot but no joy. Eichstaedt misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Eichstaedt.
Eichstaedt connects with a crisp jab. A swing and a miss from Takaya. A head kick misses from Eichstaedt. Eichstaedt looks to clinch and Takaya connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Takaya thuds his right hand into Eichstaedt's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Eichstaedt is rocked! Takaya misses with a hook. Eichstaedt is still on wobbly legs! Can Takaya finish him? Takaya throws a shot from downtown. Eichstaedt moves away and avoids it. Eichstaedt falls off balance throwing a combination
and Takaya counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Yoshihiro Takaya!
