Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Martin Hass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urpo Antero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Urpo Antero has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Martin Hass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Urpo Antero!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hass looks for a takedown but Antero sprawls well.
Antero lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A telegraphed right hand from Antero misses the target.

Hass looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hass is keen to just control but Antero is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hass uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Antero.

Hass bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Antero's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Antero can do anything to dispel that myth.
Antero is looking to stand up but Hass isn't so interested in that idea.

Antero gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hass stands up and we're back to a striking position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hass.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Martin Hass dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Urpo Antero's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Hass instigates a clinch.
Hass looks to throw an elbow but misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hass. Antero does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hass ducks under a wild hook from Antero.
Hass bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Hass drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Hass swings around for an armbar but Antero sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hass's guard.
Antero is breathing heavily.
Hass trying to keep a closed guard but Antero is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hass trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hass has his hands on Antero's head, controlling the position.

Antero wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Hass's closed guard. He's half up but Hass has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Hass pivots and extends the arm, Antero falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Hass! Well done that man!
