Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sandy Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacques Shellac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawkins kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Enter Sandman. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sandy Hawkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jacques Shellac! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawkins circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hawkins keeps the fight on the outside. Shellac is looking to clinch. Hawkins dives in and grabs Shellac's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shellac pushes down on Hawkins's head and hops out. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hawkins. Hawkins tests Shellac's chin there with a solid looking shot. The fight moves into the clinch position. Hawkins blocks the elbow strike.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Shellac. Shellac manages to break the clinch.
Hawkins fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sandy Hawkins. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shellac defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hawkins. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hawkins is defended easily by Shellac. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hawkins.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawkins closes the distance but Shellac moves to the side and Shellac counters with a nice kick to the body. Shellac lands a big head kick that sends Hawkins tumbling to the mat! Shellac takes a step backwards and waves Hawkins back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Hawkins is rocked!
It looks like Sandy Hawkins has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shellac is looking to clinch. Shellac avoids a kick to the body.
Shellac lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Hawkins is breathing heavily. Shellac clinches but Hawkins breaks the clinch and Hawkins holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Hawkins has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Hawkins. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Hawkins wants to break free but Shellac has control.

Shellac lands a damaging elbow. Shellac landing knees to the body.
Hawkins pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Shellac has Hawkins up against the cage in a clinch.
Shellac's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hawkins misses with a combination
and Shellac counters by clinching up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Shellac just misses with a elbow thrown towards Hawkins's brow. Shellac's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Shellac doesn't manage to clinch there - Hawkins circles away.
Shellac tries to clinch up so Hawkins counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Hawkins is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Hawkins lands a couple of digs. Shellac really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hawkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hawkins wants to control from the top but Shellac keeps moving. Shellac looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawkins looking to pass the guard. Hawkins wants to stand but Shellac has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Hawkins wants to stand and escape but instead Shellac has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Hawkins is pulling down on Shellac's head. It's preventing any offense from Shellac, at least for the moment. Hawkins not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Shellac won't allow Hawkins to sweep him here.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hawkins tries to keep at a distance but Shellac has taken the fight into the clinch. Hawkins has Shellac pressed against the cage.
Hawkins changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Shellac fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hawkins doesn't succeed with the takedown and Shellac counters with a good, hard body kick but Hawkins shrugs it off. Shellac avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hawkins misses with a jab to the body
and Shellac makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Hawkins really felt that one! Shellac looks to clinch and Hawkins counters with a flying knee. Nice. Hawkins swats away the attempt to clinch by Shellac. Sandy Hawkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hawkins misses the shot to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jacques Shellac dominated that round. The cut man is working on Sandy Hawkins's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
A punch combination from Hawkins misses. A shot to the body from Hawkins misses and Shellac counters with a body kick that stops Hawkins in his tracks momentarily. Shellac tries to clinch up. Hawkins shoots in looking for a takedown. Shellac tries to sprawl out of it but Hawkins keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shellac manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Shellac tries to clinch but fails miserably and Hawkins counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Shellac! Hawkins tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hawkins sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Shellac holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Hawkins tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Hawkins moves to back control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawkins has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Shellac is in real trouble here. Hawkins gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Shellac is tapping out! Hawkins wins by rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sandy Hawkins!
