Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kalevi Perse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kalevi Perse! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Clay Malone! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perse avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Malone is looking to clinch. Malone dodges the punch combination from Perse.
Malone connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Perse to the floor! Malone dives in looking for the finish!
Perse is rocked!
It looks like Kalevi Perse has been cut. Malone trying to control the action but Perse is working from the bottom. Malone is nestled in close to Perse, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Oh Perse is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Malone is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Perse defends it well. Perse seems to have got his legs back now. Malone is working for a kimura but Perse is defending it quite comfortably.
Perse is looking to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Malone is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Perse is just riding it out for now. Malone eventually gives up the hold. Perse is trying to stand up here but Malone is controlling him well. Perse is trying to get back to full guard. Perse knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Malone on the ground. Perse is trying to stand back up but Malone is controlling him
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Perse with the active half guard here but Malone passes nicely into side control. Perse wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Perse is breathing heavily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Malone advances nicely into full mount. Malone lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Perse is trying to reverse the position but instead Malone has taken his back - oops! Malone is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Perse has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. You can see the frustration on Perse's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perse won't enjoy being in this position. Malone looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Perse is tapping - it's over boys! Malone picks up the submission victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Clay Malone!
