It looks like PJ Benn has been cut.
PJ Benn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kannegaard fails in his attempt to clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Benn.

Benn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kannegaard's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Benn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Benn tries to free his leg and advance position but Kannegaard is retaining full guard.
Benn seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

and Kannegaard counters with a three punch combo that has Benn backing up. Benn nods at Kannegaard to acknowledge the strikes.

Kannegaard cracks Benn with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Benn looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Kannegaard finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kannegaard fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Benn takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Benn tries to keep at a distance but Kannegaard has taken the fight into the clinch.

Kannegaard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Benn counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Benn is keen to just control but Kannegaard is a slippery customer.

Benn is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Benn thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Kannegaard to regain full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kannegaard is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Kannegaard dips to his left and cracks Benn with an uppercut!

Kannegaard stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kannegaard wants it to stay on the feet.
Benn walks into a left hand.

Kannegaard closes the distance and clinches.
Benn jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kannegaard walks away with a smile on his face. Benn gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kannegaard grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Benn takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Kannegaard cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
