Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between marcus jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Bagshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bagshaw circles away from the clinch attempt.

Bagshaw jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as jones walks away with a smile on his face. Bagshaw gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Bagshaw throws a right and a left that jones avoids nicely. Bagshaw tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bagshaw drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. jones looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Bagshaw throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bagshaw tries to close the distance and clinch but jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bagshaw pulls jones in close to his closed guard and prevents jones from doing any damage or advancing position. jones postures up in Bagshaw's guard and throws a big left but Bagshaw blocks it. jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bagshaw is on top in guard.

Bagshaw looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

You can see the frustration on Bagshaw's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bagshaw taking punishment in the form of punches.
jones throws a strike aimed at the side of Bagshaw's head but Bagshaw avoids it well. jones throwing strikes but missing, from side control. jones lands a nice forearm strike. jones lands a few punches from side control. Bagshaw manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! jones is not content to let Bagshaw control the position.

He's hooked one of Bagshaw's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bagshaw's back! jones throwing wild punches that miss their target. Bagshaw covering up well under a barage of strikes. marcus jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bagshaw tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Bagshaw blocking the ground and pound. jones unloads with some shots from mount but Bagshaw bucks and avoids them well.

Dan Bagshaw has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bagshaw throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
And that's the end of the fight! marcus jones showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
