Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tom Byron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Day looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Day tries to score a power double leg takedown but Byron sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Day somewhat.
Day dives in and grabs Byron's left leg, looking for a takedown. Byron pushes down on Day's head and hops out.
Day shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Byron as he avoids it easily.
Tom Byron has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of D Day.
Day closes the distance and clinches up with Byron, looking for a takedown. Day pushes Byron against the cage but Byron circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Day tries for a takedown but Byron sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Day looks gassed!
Byron moves into the clinch.

Byron gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like D Day has been cut.
Byron creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Day's defenses.
Byron lands a damaging elbow.
That has opened up D Day's cut even more.

The cut above D Day's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Day is rocked!
Day is pressed against the cage. Byron pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Day! Two more big strikes from Byron and Day crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
