The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by McFart Pants.
Rooney shoots in for a takedown but McFart Pants shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rooney looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rooney fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Rooney shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McFart Pants sprawls well. McFart Pants wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rooney gets slowly back to his feet.
Rooney dives in and grabs McFart Pants's left leg, looking for a takedown. McFart Pants pushes down on Rooney's head and hops out.
Farty McFart Pants has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wayne Rooney.
Rooney chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McFart Pants can pounce on him.
McFart Pants closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
McFart Pants is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Rooney is trying to escape and McFart Pants transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Rooney is forced to tap! Nice work there by McFart Pants! Very nice indeed!
