Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Reid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Davidson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Reid! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reid is trying hard to land a takedown here. Davidson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Reid throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Davidson's waist but Davidson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Reid off to one side. Reid misses with a wild combination.
Davidson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Reid looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Davidson controlling from the top position. Davidson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davidson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Reid looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Reid looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Reid! Reid goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Davidson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Reid but great work by Davidson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reid tries to improve position but can't. Reid is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Reid looks gassed! Reid looks to move to half guard but instead Davidson has passed into mount! Damn! Davidson looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Davidson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Reid is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reid throwing strikes but missing. Davidson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Reid is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Reid throwing strikes but missing. Davidson keeping moving, preventing Reid from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Davidson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Reid is aware though and is defending well. Davidson controlling Reid's posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Davidson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Reid with a poor takedown and Davidson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Reid! Davidson controlling from mount. Reid is breathing heavily.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Michael Davidson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Davidson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Davidson stalling. Reid wants to control but Davidson is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Davidson seems content to control. Davidson wants to pass the guard but Reid is defending well. Davidson is figuring out what he wants to do next. Reid is trying to maintain the position but Davidson is very close to passing his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reid is trying to get back to full guard. Davidson sitting and controlling from the half guard. Davidson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davidson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Davidson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Davidson trying to mount his opponent but Reid defends it. Davidson controlling the pace. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Davidson dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Davidson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Reid is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Davidson jumps into side control! A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Michael Davidson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Reid gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Davidson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Reid is trying to control the position but Davidson postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davidson trying to control but Reid is working from the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Reid looking to control.
Davidson content to stall in guard here. Davidson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Reid is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Davidson is aware though and is defending well. Davidson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Reid wants to stand but Davidson is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davidson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Reid is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Davidson looking to control and managing it successfully. Davidson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Reid for as long as he can get away with. Chris Reid has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Davidson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Davidson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
