Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lewis Hoover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silva Mencheres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hoover might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Im On It. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lewis Hoover! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Silva Mencheres! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mencheres shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hoover manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Hoover looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Hoover keeping moving, preventing Mencheres from controlling successfully. Mencheres controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Mencheres trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hoover's guard. Mencheres wants to control from the top but Hoover keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoover pushes Mencheres off and scrambles back to his feet.
Mencheres is looking to clinch but Hoover is avoiding it.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Mencheres. Mencheres has a takedown stuffed. Mencheres feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hoover utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hoover keeping moving, preventing Mencheres from controlling successfully. Mencheres not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mencheres is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hoover knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mencheres on the ground. Mencheres is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Mencheres stands and throws Hoover's legs to the side, diving into side control. Mencheres decides to stand back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mencheres bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Mencheres has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Some wild striking there from Mencheres.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mencheres looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Crunch! Mencheres slams his shin into Hoover's torso. Mencheres shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hoover is trying to defend but Mencheres finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hoover keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoover is trying to get back to full guard. Mencheres seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hoover does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Mencheres controlling the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Silva Mencheres dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Mencheres swings for the body but Hoover moves out of range.
Mencheres scores a takedown into full mount! Mencheres controlling from the full mount. Mencheres lands with some strikes. Mencheres working for a submission but Hoover is keeping him at bay. Mencheres cracks Hoover with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoover is bucking up trying to escape but Mencheres cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Mencheres can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hoover is looking to escape. Mencheres lands a nice shot to the head. Mencheres wants to control the pace but Hoover is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mencheres lands a nice shot to the head. Mencheres tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mencheres looking to control but Hoover is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Mencheres with good strikes from the mount here! Mencheres working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Hoover looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Mencheres! Submission of the night perhaps?
