The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper works over Jones's head and body with a nice combination.
Cooper stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Jones dodges the punch combination from Cooper.
Cooper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cooper is looking to clinch.
Cooper throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease.

It looks like Alabaster Jones has been cut.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cooper sprawls well. Cooper wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cooper changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jones fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Cooper lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Jones shoots in and drives through. Cooper sprawls well.
Cooper throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Cooper wants the takedown. Jones is fighting it off but Cooper persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jones's guard against the cage.

Jones moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Cooper has worked his arm free - good work by Cooper!
Cooper is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cooper is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cooper pulls his head out easily.

Jones regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Cooper.

Cooper knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.

Jones has momentary wrist control but Cooper slips an elbow through the middle.
Cooper loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Cooper has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Jones is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Cooper tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cooper lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively.
Cooper misses with the combination.
Cooper throws a jab when Jones was well out of range.
Cooper looks for the body kick but Jones saw that one coming.
Jones misses with a takedown
and Cooper counters with a three punch combo that has Jones backing up. Jones nods at Cooper to acknowledge the strikes.
Cooper fails to land the takedown.
Cooper throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease.

Cooper scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jones.

Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cooper, who protects the arm well.
Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Jones has hold of Cooper's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Cooper tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Jones cranks the arm and Cooper screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Cooper, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
