The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cumia misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Taylor avoids the head kick by Cumia.
Cumia throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Anthony Cumia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Taylor or perhaps it was just good defense by Cumia which made him look bad.
Cumia drops Taylor with a beautiful combination! Taylor stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Cumia is looking for the KO!

It looks like Tim Taylor has been cut.
Cumia fails to land with a series of punches.
Cumia rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Taylor moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Taylor shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cumia but Cumia pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cumia keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

A right-left combo lands from Cumia.
Cumia stuffs the takedown attempt from Taylor. Taylor gets slowly back to his feet.
Taylor is breathing heavily.
Taylor shoots for a takedown but Cumia saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Taylor avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cumia throws a series of punches but Taylor avoids them all with ease.

Cumia closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Taylor wants to control but Cumia postures up.
Cumia scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Taylor to see if he's OK.
Taylor takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cumia throws a sloppy head kick and Taylor moves out of range easily.

Cumia breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cumia misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Taylor avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Taylor counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cumia won't be happy with that.

Cumia prevents Taylor from taking his back.
Taylor tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cumia tries to buck Taylor off but he can't manage it.

Taylor is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Cumia is surviving well by controlling Taylor's body position as best he can.
Taylor postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cumia looks a forlorn figure.
