Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny O Brien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and KING KONG (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Brien comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny i hardly knew ya. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny O Brien! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, KING KONG! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! KONG shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. KONG showed some decent athleticism there. KONG is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and O Brien defends it well. O Brien trying to control from the bottom.
KONG is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. O Brien doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time KONG. O Brien is positioning himself well to prevent KONG advancing to mount. KONG seems to be working for a kimura but O Brien defends the submission attempt. O Brien keeps control of the position for the meantime.
That's one minute gone in the round. KONG wants to lay and pray for a moment but O Brien keeps working. O Brien knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for KONG on the ground. O Brien controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. O Brien avoiding damage under a succession of punches from KONG. KONG trying to control from half guard but O Brien is working away. O Brien is trying to get back to full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. O Brien swats away the attempt to clinch by KONG.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. O Brien throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
O Brien has his takedown stuffed and KONG counters with a takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. KONG trying to control the position but O Brien is working away. KONG throws an elbow but O Brien slips to the side and avoids it well. KONG in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. KONG stands up and we're back to a striking position. KONG looks gassed! O Brien scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. KONG is looking to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. O Brien gets to his feet - back to striking we go! O Brien is looking to slow KONG down with leg kicks. O Brien has KONG up against the cage in a clinch.
KONG has O Brien pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. O Brien manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. O Brien breaks from the clinch.
O Brien instigates a clinch. O Brien breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
O Brien misses with a takedown attempt and KONG decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in O Brien's guard. O Brien is controlling KONG's posture. KONG wants to control from the top but O Brien keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. KONG would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. KONG wants to control from the top but O Brien keeps moving. O Brien wriggles free and stands up. O Brien misses with a takedown and KONG counters with a single leg into guard. O Brien didn't expect that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny O Brien. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! KONG wants to control from the top but O Brien keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. O Brien pulls KONG in close to prevent any damage. O Brien looking to control.

A close round but KING KONG will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
O Brien tries to clinch up but KONG circles away and keeps his distance. A punch combination from O Brien misses. KONG showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from O Brien.
O Brien is looking to clinch. O Brien clinches up with KONG and pushes him back against the cage. O Brien goes for a takedown in the clinch but KONG prevents it.
O Brien changes levels and goes for a takedown here. KONG fights it off and pushes away nicely.
KONG closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming O Brien to the mat! O Brien manages to get full guard. KONG drops back looking for a leg! O Brien is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and O Brien manages to kick KONG off! KONG jumps back into O Brien's guard. O Brien looking to hit a scissor sweep but KONG is one step ahead there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Brien keeping moving, preventing KONG from controlling successfully. KONG forces his way into half guard. KONG is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, O Brien has managed to free his arm - good work. KONG seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but O Brien does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. O Brien is concentrating on defense, preventing KONG from advancing position. O Brien has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. KONG is working away from the top position though. O Brien gets back to full guard.
O Brien keeping moving, preventing KONG from controlling successfully. KONG should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. KONG thows a big elbow that misses. KONG trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. O Brien trying to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. KONG trying to control the position from guard on top but O Brien is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. O Brien throws a quick inside leg kick. O Brien looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A nice leg kick lands there from O Brien. KONG fails miserably with a takedown attempt. A nice inside leg kick there by O Brien. That's going to slow KONG down. O Brien shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches KONG napping and manages to drive through into side control! O Brien just content to control the position. O Brien trying to control the action but KONG is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. O Brien decides to stand up, so the ref orders KONG to his feet. KONG darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. KONG sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. O Brien defending well though. O Brien is trying to get back to full guard. KONG is stalling here. O Brien is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! KONG seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and O Brien has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Johnny O Brien will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

KONG shoots in for a takedown and gets it. KONG passes the guard and advances to mount! KONG avoids the attempt from O Brien to control. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - KONG has eaten all the pies! Both fighters are breathing heavily. KONG throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poor strikes thrown by KONG there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
KONG goes for an armbar but O Brien turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from O Brien. O Brien wants to control from the top but KONG keeps moving. KONG trying to keep a closed guard but O Brien is proving a slippery customer.
O Brien avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
KONG wants to control the position but O Brien says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. O Brien working the head and body with strikes. O Brien is pressing down on KONG's thigh, looking to free his foot. KONG is holding on for now. O Brien with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. KONG trying to control here.
KONG has hold of O Brien's hands but O Brien slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. KONG is looking to improve his position.
O Brien looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's three minutes gone in the round. KONG looking for submissions off his back. O Brien slows the pace down in half guard. O Brien trying to control the action but KONG is working from the bottom. KONG has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. O Brien is working away from the top position though. Ground and pound from O Brien.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. O Brien moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from KONG. KONG tries to bench press O Brien off him but O Brien keeps the position. O Brien working away. KONG tries to buck O Brien off but O Brien is having none of it. KONG wants to control but O Brien postures up. O Brien stands up and we're back to a striking position. Johnny O Brien is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. O Brien tries to clinch there but KONG circles away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. O Brien gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows KONG to score an easy takedown into full guard. O Brien keeping moving, preventing KONG from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Johnny O Brien. I think O Brien has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
