The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura throws a right hand that dos Santos ducks under and follows up with a left that dos Santos also avoids with ease.
Kimura throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. dos Santos was covering up waiting for the punch and Kimura finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Kimura must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
dos Santos has his foot on Kimura's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kimura works his way back into a safe position though.
Kimura lying in dos Santos's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. dos Santos decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Kimura taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
